Theodore Logan was born on an industrial hog farm where shortly after his birth he was tattooed, castrated, and had his tail docked without pain relief. A few weeks later he was loaded onto a transport truck bound for the feed lot where he would be fattened for eventual slaughter. Theo managed to hide in the shadows of the large truck and was forgotten when the truck was reloaded with adult hogs on the road to the slaughterhouse. As the truck was again unloaded, with the hogs heading down the slaughter chute, our little piglet was discovered battered and bruised. The driver of the truck was instructed by management to “Hit it with a 2×4 and leave it on the side of the road” but instead he showed mercy driving him to a friend’s home until sanctuary could be found. Theo now spends his days rooting and rolling in mud and drinking from the garden hose with his new brother, Webster William.
